WARRANTY The warranty period for all asphalt work shall be one year on materials and workmanship, from the date of completion, unless otherwise specified.
The most popular question that arises in the asphalt industry relates to the cracking that may develop in asphalt.
If cracking should develop, it is important to differentiate between the types of cracks. The most common type of crack is a hairline crack. If you have a hairline crack in the surface, it does not require any corrective action. If the hairline crack expands to 1/4" wide by 1/4" deep within the first year, we will fill it with a liquid crack filler at no charge.
Cracks developing from tree roots can not be avoided. As trees grow, so does the root system. This type of cracking will not be covered under our warranty.
When resurfacing over old concrete or old asphalt, cracks can appear. This type of cracking will not be covered under our warranty.
Cracks that may develop along open edges of asphalt can be avoided by properly back filling edges with topsoil, rock or gravel. This type of cracking will not be covered under our warranty; therefore it is up to the owner to carry out these precaution.
The base is the most important part of asphalt paving. This part of our warranty would not apply if the base work was performed by another company.
Before any digging is made during the preparation, our company will make the call to Miss Dig. It will be there responsibility to properly mark all utility lines. Therefore, we are not held responsible for any damage done to unmarked underground wiring.
In all circumstances regarding the warranty of a new driveway please call our office. Someone will meet with you to examine the problem and discuss the repair possibilities. We will try to do everything that we can in order to make your driveway look as nice as possible and keep you satisfied with our service.
